For those pretty socks from Alice Hammer's "Club Tricot 1" book, you only need 50g of BC Garn Bio Shetland. If you want a different color, please choose the desired color in the BC Garn Bio Shetland category.
Likewise if you want, like Alice, to use a contrasting color for the tip and the edges, please add a skein of the contrasting color in your basket.
Warning: Your Shetland socks will be very comfortable but will never be as durable as socks knitted with a thread containing a% nylon.
Warning: the pattern is not included. Please order it HERE.
The book in English or French can be found here.
Alice on her pattern: I love knitting socks. And what’s fun is that my construction tastes change over time. A few years ago, I only praised the socks knitted in cuff-down on double pointed needles. Today, what I prefer is to work TOE UP, two socks at the same time with magic loop on a long circular needle.
These princess and the pea socks are knitted toe up. I used the method of round heels, which I find as simple as short rows but which allows for a reinforced heel or, as here, decorated heel.
